About Us
Bretons Community Association (BCA) is a registered charity (no 1067432) which looks after and manages the 17th Century Manor House (Bretons Manor), Bretons Manor Hall (also known as Bretons Outdoor Centre) and Bretons Tudor Barn located within Bretons Outdoor Recreational Centre in Rainham.
BCA also runs Bretons Social Club which operates out of the Manor House and includes its own onsite bar for use by our members.
There are a number of groups, clubs and organisations that are affiliated to Bretons Community Association and that use our site and the surrounding grounds, these include two Archery Clubs, Table Tennis Clubs, a Pre-School Nursery, Scouts, Dance Schools, two Fishing Clubs, RC Model Aeroplane Club, Model Railway Club, Board Gaming Club, Baby Bank Charity, two Tuesday Darts Teams, a Thursday Darts Team, Football Clubs, Horticultural Club, Scouts & Girls Guides a Ukulele group and many more.
Facilities
Tudor Barn – Used daily by either Table Tennis or Archery clubs. Please contact Maylands Table Tennis, Abbey Bowmen or Bowmen of Ardleigh directly should you be interested in joining their respective clubs.
Bretons Manor Hall – The function hall is available for hire on weekdays (subject to existing use) and weekends. (Update June 2024 – we are not able to facilitate any further hires this year of the hall which requires the bar / alcohol)
Friday & Saturday Hall Hire is priced at £300 without the use of the hall bar or £350 with use which includes one member of bar staff. Please visit the ‘Photos and Pictures’ section for some sample photos taken inside our function hall and contains a list of information with regards to costs, deposits, capacity and general hire.
Please make enquiries via info@bretons.org.uk providing a contact number, date, number of guests and event type and our Lettings Officer will be in contact. Unfortunately, due to an ongoing BT fault, we have no current landline for telephone enquiries.
Bretons Manor House – The house has a number of rooms available for hire, however bookings are restricted to existing members only and can only be hired during existing opening hours.
Bretons Social Club – The family friendly members only social club operates out of the ground floor of the Manor House which contains a bar and games room with dart board and pool table. Both Sky Sports and TNT Sports are available in the bar with the facility to show two separate sports at once. We have a large beer garden at the rear for use during the summer. New membership applications are welcome.
New for 2024 – we now have free guest wifi.
Unfortunately, due to an ongoing issue with our supplier BT, we have no current landline for telephone enquiries and we would advise seeking advice from a committee member during opening hours.
